The hooded baby basket

The main fabric with cartoon design is customer's own..I have chose  an orange material with white dots  to match the loud colored cartoon fabric...

A baby changing mat.....to complete the set..

The hood is attached to the main body by string ribbons

2 bolsters,2 pillows and a matress

There were some small remnants which i utilized to make a simple cover for the toiletry basket

The cover for the basket also has a velcro opening for easy removal..

Baby Basket in progress

The hooded baby basket
The basket to house all the baby toiletries.

This baby basket is small compared to the ones that i usually make.. it has a hood which makes the construction a bit complicated.Nevertheless i know i am going to have fun choosing a pattern ..Frills and piping is a must, and perhaps some strings tight into ribbons to attach the hood to the main body .A lot of possiblities ..Right this moment I am having qualms getting the right solid color to match the main fabric. The color is a bit loud therefore i need something more subtle to tone down ..Hope i can find some yummy fabric from my store room (my own in  house collection bought from all over )as i am too preoccupied with curtain jobs .,,and running around the department  stores and leaving my work station for long hours is definitely not in my agenda..Will feast your eyes with this beauty real soon..Do drop by for more updates.....

The jumbo quilt is finally done

The ready size quilt is 124inch x 94 inch to fit a super king size bed for a dear friend who is giving the jumbo quilt to her loving sister who is in her senior years..

The patchwork was quilted simply in in a straight line following the arrangement of the white hexies. It is quilted in this manner for many reasons ..One reason being to cut stitching hours to the minimum and definitely reducing costs..and headache, sebab tuan tanah asyik merengek tanya bila nak siap?
The pink fabric on the left and right of the hexy piece was quilted seperately and later joined  to the main hexy patchwork to make up for the total size of the ready quilt..so this quilt consist of three parts quilted seperately..

Meditation on Saturday.Take some time off to arrange and tidy up the fabrics

These newly acquired fabric stacks  have been sitting beside me at my desk for almost 2 weeks waiting for me to pick the right project..it could be a baby quilt,a tote bag ,a quran cover, kitchen cozies.....ba,bla,bla..there is a long list of orders...
I am having a tough time deciding what bag pattern or quilt pattern to do and which material to pick and whose order to start with....
These stacks sit in my store room..But mostly are curtain fabrics in small meterage and small bits of cotton great for patchworks. They are all relegated to the back of my mind and my sight as for now and slowly losing my interest and waiting to be given away to the old lady..who visits me occasionally to "clean up" my stash,,See the line up of nagoya plastics below...more sheers pieces. They make nice frills for basket makeover. But there is just too much and i am giving it away as i am in dire need of the space,,

I am trying to hold all the solid color fabrics(top most shelf) in one place for easy reach. This arrangement is great for starters..The shelf sits right at the back of my desk also at the entrance to the store..

But unfortunately after folding and unfolding i still could not decide.Fortunately and for sure they are now nicely fold and neatly arrange till my next pondering...A good peck on my back for a clean job..hihihi
