Pink roses for a Wedding room...fancy that?

At last i can put my legs up and seat for awhile to update..

No good reason for not posting in this small space of mine for quite sometime..Blame it on the PRU13
Every time i seat in front of this lappy i am glued to facebook sharing the countless video of politicians harping for votes and not forgetting the multitude of statements made by fellow bloggers either supporting a particular party or bickering another......Well i rather keep my views to myself and quietly throw my vote when the time comes...

And now for some sewing updates....A lot of curtains are ready to hang.But i will only post the pics once they go up the trek.Besides that I finally manage to complete 4 hexy pillow covers for this quilt and this.

From top most...4 hot pads measuring 6 inch square quilted,6 pieces 9 inch square for her shelves and 3 sets of runner 36 inch x 18 inch for 3 kitchen appliances..

A cutting day

I started my monday morning getting these beauties under my shears.cut,cut,cut.They are now ready to sew into simple french pleat curtains to grace a living room and a master bedroom....

More fabrics are awaiting to be cut...this time is for the bed set..Oh yes ,a queen bed skirt and a comforter.Stay tune for updates..

My fling with green...

I started off sewing this kitchen aid cover by combining just the pot/mug motif fabric with the multi -colored diamond.But somehow along the way i realized i need to put more zest in these cozies...so that is why you now see stark green on the apron and the pot cozy..And voila.....

I am in cloud 9 with color blue and greeen....baby stroller pad

This is a stroller pad and its companion the little pillow...

Will post the photo when they both get into the baby stroller..

Another ginormous hexy quilt...124 inch x 86 inch

Looks like its done and finished...Awww...but its not completed..Need to hand quilt at all the floral hexies.Take a close look.. 

At this stage only the green hexy has been stitched..Need to do the floral part so that the patchwork is tightly anchored to the fiber and the backing fabric

Bed skirt for a single bed in plaid fabric

This 5 meters material was bought from jakel with a width of 92 inches.It could accommodate:1 fitted sheet,1 divan bed skirt and 2 pillow covers.The material was a little bit short for the borders and piping embellishments for the bed -skirt and the 2 pillows..

Size of mattress: 42 inch x 76 inch x 6 inch thickness
Drop of bed skirt frill: 15 inch.
Plaid Fabric              :  5 meters of 92 inch
Stitching cost            :  RM80

A new cover for the old stool and the stained out of date baby high chair..

Are you tired looking at the worn out stool or maybe  you need to attract the toddler to stay put a little bit longer on his high chair during feeding time,...here are some ideas..

Red tea pot kitchen mates...

Night curtains for 3 rooms...

I have 30 meters of night curtains for 3 bedrooms on my cutting table..

All will be in french pleat....

The Green Owl baby quilt....

This is a baby quilt which can be used as a changing mat or as  a blanket.

The Owl cotton fabric is from Pemborong Cotton Nurul Nazeli..and the rest of the fabrics are bought from Dchomel.

Size of quilt is 24 inch x 34 inch..This set consists of 2 bolsters,1 baby pillow(quilt), 1 toddler size pillow and a baby quilt..This 5 pieces set cost RM180.

A little pampering for myself..

I spent the whole sunday morning at Dchomel and Nurul Nazeli and hauled 2 big plastic bag full of yummy delicious fabric..all are english and japanese cotton:

A rugged looking bed skirt in plaid fabric

This maroon/black plaid fabric from Jakel will definitely made a room looking contemporary rugged...

One bed skirt and 4 pillow covers

This bed skirt fits a queen size bed of 5 ft x 6 ft with 23 inch drop length.

Amount of material needed for this queen size bed skirt is:
Plaid fabric with a width of 92 inches - 6 meters
Coordinating maroon fabric of 44 inches width for piping and reverse side of 4 pieces of pillow covers - 4 meters.Pillows and top of bed skirt is quilted.Stitching cost is RM250..

A breeze week....a roman blind,a bed skirt,and 2 cradles

Only 6 days in march but look at all the work done...

and not forgetting...a baby size pillow for dear niece to bring to college..
