Fiber update..

Its cushion making week..just look at these..20 inch square,18 inch square,21 inch x 11 inch and round cushions...all kinds of dimension..

I like to use polyester filling for its lightness and fluffyness..I will really stuff the cushion to the maximum..but it will  get flatten over the years and customers will come back to top up with more fiber.. 

With or without?Which is better?

 

This week begins with covers for 8 dining chairs.Although the chair is best in its natural skin somehow dear owner insisted on a make over to blend with the new curtains so to speak.Your wish is my command,madam....and so voila....a little show off....

This was the cover 4 years ago..2010.I like this pattern,short,clean cut and looks cool...

Will have to work on another 7 pieces.The nature of fabric (heavy velvet) and the hand pleated frills  ( as per request )is delaying the sewing process.Anyway its time well spent..The final product is quite satisfying...............

Fabric therapy again....

There is one thing I like about my job is shopping endlessly for fabrics,any time of the month...and the best part of it is letting others pay for your spree!Yipee yeh!

 This time is fabric hunting for a gold wedding in early jun and cheerful colour velvety  fabrics for some round cushions.And now for a little show off.....

8 lavender *purple*or is it plum*color round cusions in the making..

What a sight...8 cusions done...customer request for 15 pieces.The making of these round cushions really tested my patience to the max....The heavy weight velvety fabric and the short time given to complete was the main hindrance.But thank Allah for the my many years experience( which no money can buy ) in this soft furnishing line , eight was done in 3 days and voila......

This is before  fixing  the buttons at the navel..

and then the buttons were sewn.....you need an 8 inch long needle, a durable thread and not forgetting a strong arm to do this.

These are 20 inch x 20 inch square cushions,also ordered by the same customer.These square cushions are so simple to make and done in a breeze.,,making them is my cup of tea....oh lalalala

Mid - week post

Some fabrics arrived for a 6 bedded house in Subang Alam..159 meters for night curtains and 72 meters for day curtain and 2 roman blinds.Still intact in 4 rolls..waiting to go on my cutting table real soon....

And some other curtains also done..Still working on several fabrics from China..The heavy weight fabrics is making a slow progress..Nevertheless a lot has been completed..
