A grandmother's story...haha...don't read if you are not a grandmother....

This morning i got up and the first thing i always do is to make my bed..I was amused with the galore of pillows all piled up in different sizes,colors and pattern..Ha,ha...During bedtime dear hubby always shove them on the floor we each take only one.He says we don't need too many pillows..he dosen't realised that he takes 3 pillows to rest his head on while watching TV before dozing off.... and i keep adding new ones every year just to test my creativity,( AND ALSO TO SPITE HIM,not to worry..he doesn't read my blog...and even if he does ,who cares...hahaha) there is a new addition that being  THE BUTTERFLY HEXY PILLOW

I got the pattern from google sometime ago but have forgotten from which website..Anyway what i really want to share is not just the pillows but the story of the BED.I first slept on this bed when i was 25 years old...And 30 years later,after getting 3 kids and a grandson...the bed is still striving strong..

After the long CNY break....

Its back to some serius work...Completely done with the curtains for Sri Maya Appartments.Now just waiting to hang.All are butterfly or pinch pleats ,...

The night curtains are in blue while the sheers are white...

One iron baby swing is also completed..But being white and shimmery ,it doesn't look too good in photos...........................................................

Satin fabric were provided by customer....i think  once  being decorated with fresh flowers it will look double pretty and not too monotonous......And if you notice there are 2 ribbons on each side...but being in the same color as the skirt,the ribbons could not make a statement.Well  i just have to comply with customer's request..

Pinch the pleats...

Today i have started on the pinch pleated curtains for one unit of appartment at Sri Maya,Jalan Jelatek.As at this evening all the sheers are done..

This style header are also commonly  called butterfly pleat or Singapore pleat..I am not too sure how the names are derived .Will work on the night curtains tomorrow.

3 layered multi - colored ruffle crib skirt...

Today i would like to share the satin ruffled skirt for a baby cot 75 x 135 x 25 cm  of size .Materials and pattern  are customer's own .I made a slight modification from the actual pattern which calls for 4 layers and made this skirt a 3 layered instead.As the required drop is a mere 10 inch ,i have divided the frills of length at 3 inch for first and second layer and finish off at 4 inch for the third layer.That way it makes me easier  to control the frills.Anything shorter than 3 inches is going to make the process and my life too complicated.The process took a solid 2 days to complete..I utilized 1.5 meters of each colored satin fabric , 1.5 meters plain cotton for the top and 1.5 meters for the part beneath the frills..

This bumper pad was made much earlier...

I really hope my dear customer is happy with the final product as much as i have enjoyed making it with my team.

4 iron beauty...to be soon

I would like to try a new design( a new pattern would be more awesome and challenging),but then i might have to stick to the normal ones and play with customer's request..While waiting for the fabric to be delivered i might just let go and draw a few designs toying in my brain right now..But then it is saturday...and the hot but lovely sun just cannot keep me away from the slow lazy walk to the pasar tani which is just a stone away from my house..Happy weekends friends...
